Description:
Introduces the terminology, physics and applications of hydrostatics and hydraulics. This course covers fluids at rest and in motion. Topics include: the properties of water, fluid pressure, hydrostatic force and buoyancy; fundamental laws of incompressible fluid flow; concepts of continuity, momentum, force, energy, power and work as they relate to hydraulic systems. Some basic concepts of pumps are also introduced.
